CANNELLE SEES FACIAL TRENDS CHANGE

Cannelle beauty salons have observed a 25% increase in facials in the last five years and are noticing a change in their demographic of clients seeking facials including an increase in 16-25 year olds and in men who are increasingly opting for facials rather than just massages and hair removal with a rise of 40% in five years.

A recent Cannelle survey showed that half of the respondents started facial treatments between the ages of 16-25 and 21% started from 25-30. More surprisingly 14% started having facials under the age of 16 whilst approximately 10% started from 35-45 years old. Cannelle is also benefitting from offering a full range of facials as clients become more savvy about what is on offer in the beauty marketplace.

Managing Director France Baudet says: Teenagers may come to the salons for facials to improve spot problems, some come for stressed skin. Most of our other young clients in their twenties come monthly for regular facials because they can see and feel it makes a difference to their skin and because it is so relaxing and forces them to take time out of their busy schedules. Other clients are really benefiting from anti-ageing facials such as IPL and CACI. Some men do want facial treatments to target specific issues like signs of ageing or stressed skin, but a large percentage come for monthly facials simply because they enjoy the relaxation time and want to take care and nourish their skin. There is a total mix.

Cannelles research showed that a third of salon goers would describe their face as their favourite body part, so it is no surprise that we find it increasingly important to pamper our best asset. 46% of Cannelles discerning clients enjoying facials choose CACI facials, 7% currently opt for IPL skin rejuvenation and 47% ask for Dcleor facials. Baudet stresses the importance of the right facial for the individual client. Our clients know exactly what is on offer in the beauty world these days and really do know how to look after themselves whether it be having regular beauty treatments in one of our salons or cleansing at the end of a busy day at home.

Our clients know that CACI facials are loved by A-list celebrities and are an effective treatment which redefines facial contours, plumps out deep lines and wrinkles as well as tackles a range of skin imperfections. IPL improves the appearance of rosacea, flushing, broken capillaries, sun damaged skin, age spots and skin texture, as well as mild acne scars, tightens pores, softens fine lines and improve your skin’s complexion. Photo-rejuvenation is particularly effective in enhancing the areas often exposed such as face, neck, chest and hands.

For those wanting that traditional relaxing facial experience, Dcleor facials offer a soothing and moisturizing experience which afterwards leaves the skin feeling renewed and fresh. All Declor facials are specifically tailored to suit your skin type using 100% pure essential oils with natural plant extracts.
