Nataly | June 24, 2009

zoomperfume.co.uk, a new online perfume website which aims to combine the lowest retail prices on the web with free delivery and 2000 different products, has been launched. The UK-based website has average prices of around 30% to 50% below retail cost, and some up to 90% off, made possible by reducing the frills and outgoings of a retail outlet to the absolute minimum. The creator of zoomperfume.co.uk Laura Ridley says “We are giving our customers a retail experience which they cannot get at their local perfume retailer. Firstly by making our prices the best to be found on the Web in the UK, and much cheaper than at retail.Secondly, we have a range of around two thousand fragrances and aftershaves on zoomperfume.co.uk including many hard-to-find fragrances which you wont locate without wearing out a lot of Jimmy Choo leather. Our first online sale, for example, was a parcel of several bottles of Hermes 24 Faubourg which our customer had been searching for for weeks. We are also providing our customers a fun and immediate way to shop, in their lunch break or at home, when they are pressed for time and money. We want them to get on their jim jams or bikini and go shopping from home with zoomperfume.co.uk .In addition to the large discounts available on the site, theres an additional 5% on offer until July 15th by entering the code Launch01 at the checkout.

New Chairman For The British Institute And Association Of Electrolysis

Nataly | June 15, 2009

The British Institute and Association of Electrolysis BIAE is a non profit making organisation founded from the amalgamation of the Institute of Electrolysis and the British Association of Electrolysists. The annual AGM for the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis took place in April 2009, at the MIC Centre in Euston, London. During the morning the members listened to three speakers presenting subjects relevent to electrolysists. The first was all about financial planning, very pertinent in this difficult economic climate. The second presentation was given by Dr Elizabeth Owen a consultant Gynaecologist. A riveting talk on Poly Cystic Ovaries and Hirsutism held the audience rapt. “As electrolysists we are one of the frontline professions that will deal with women who suffer PCOS,” said Mandy Painting, Chairman. “The members were able to ask a great many questions about what to look for in our clients that might indicate a visit to the doctor,” she continued. The third presentation was by a client of one of the members. This transgender client shared her experience of pre-surgery epilation required in sensitive and intimate areas. A very interesting and thought provoking talk. “Members were able to ask her questions that would be awkward to ask someone in the normal course of conversation,” said Mandy Painting. “Many members reported afterwards that they would be able to take on the delicate treatment if asked in the future,” added Helen Graham, board member. The business meeting in the afternoon raised various issues from members. A lively exchange of views between professionals proved once again the value of these meetings. The new board members were introduced and Mandy Painting took the Chair. She thanked the outgoing Chairman, Helen Graham, for her hard work and tireless commitment to the BIAE over the last three years. Mandy only hoped she could follow her example equally as well. Members of the board are: Helen Graham, Eunice McBride, Marny Abercromby, Denise Wheeler, June Norman, Nona Girling and Suzannie Knight. The secretary is Nicky Wilsher.
